3-star Errington McRae commits to Memphis

The 2021 Memphis Tigers recruiting train is full speed ahead with the commitment of 3-star tight end Errington McRae from Springdale (AR). His commitment is the 15 commitment for the Tigers.

McRae was committed to Arkansas State earlier in the spring but opened his commitment back up last month.

What was it about Memphis that made him commit to the Tigers?

"The relationship that was built with Coach Glidden was second to none. I also built great relationships with Coach Silverfield and Coach Johns," McRae told TigerSportsReport.

"The thing I liked best about the staff was the transparency. As whole they told me what it was and kept it real with me one hundred percent of the way. I could also feel that the love that was shown was all genuine. I also feel I that I will be putting myself in great hands as far as continuing to grow me as a young man, scholar, and football player."

Memphis was in on him from the beginning and that was important to him.

"Memphis was my very first offer and has always held a deep spot in my heart. It’s a place where I feel home and a place that I know that holds my best interest and it’s only a 45 minute drive across the bridge to my hometown so that was definitely a plus."

The Tigers staff have definitely upped the ante this recruiting cycle. They've never had this many commits this early in the summer.
