Cullens talks Memphis commitment

Mississippi Athlete Zay Cullens became the 5th commitment today when he tweeted that he was committed to Memphis.

What made Cullens, 6-foot-0 205 lbs., choose the Tigers?

"It's just closer to home! Great chance to play faster! And the coaches," Cullens told TigerSportsReport.com

The coaching staff impressed him a lot. Especially Inside Linebackers Coach Dan Lanning.

"Great Guy!"

Cullens also loved how Coach Lanning kept in touch with him and was personally interested in him.

The Tigers are recruiting Cullens as a Safety. He also plays at running back for North Pontotoc.

Last year he rushed for 2,201 yards and 33 touchdowns. As a defensive back he had 63 tackles and 4 interceptions.
