Elliot earns weekly conference honor

The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league's weekly football honors for the seventh week of the college football season.

Brendon Kay • Sr. • QB • Cincinnati • Marine City, Mich.
Kay led Cincinnati to its first American Athletic Conference win of the season as he figured in three touchdowns in the Bearcats' 38-20 win against Temple. Kay completed 31 of 37 passes (a conference-record 83.7 percent) for 270 yards and two touchdowns to go with a 4-yard rushing touchdown. Kay has thrown for 1,088 yards and nine touchdowns this season and has completed 71.4 percent of his passes.

Calvin Pryor • Jr. • S • Louisville • Port St. Joe, Fla.
Pryor was the key man on a Louisville defense that held Rutgers to 12 rushing yards and registered eight sacks and four interceptions in the Cardinals' 24-10 win against the Scarlet Knights. Pryor had a game-high 14 tackles, with one tackle for loss, and he added his second interception of the season as the Cardinals' clung to a seven-point lead in the second half.

Jake Elliott • Fr. • K • Memphis • Western Springs, Ill.
Elliott accounted for all of Memphis' scoring in the Tigers' 25-15 loss to unbeaten Houston. He tied The American's single-game record with five field goals against the Cougars, connecting from 33, 50, 24, 42 and 38 yards. Elliott remains the only kicker in The American who has made all of his field goal attempts as he takes a 10-for-10 ledger into this week.

Completed 21 of 31 passes for 310 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-10 win against Rutgers. Registered his 18th straight game with a touchdown pass.
Marvin Kloss • Jr. • K • USF • Naples, Fla.
Hit field goals of 47 and 44 yards, accounting for the tying and winning points, in a 13-10 win at UConn. Has made his last nine field goal attempts.
DeDe Lattimore • Sr. • LB • USF • Athens, Ga.
Had 11 tackles, one tackle for loss, a pass breakup and a 25-yard blocked field goal return in a 13-10 win at UConn.
