Hornsey averaged 49.6 yards on five punts against the Blue Raiders, marking the second highest average in his career. The ratio also ranked 11th in school history for highest punting average.
The Geelong, Victoria, Australia, native had two punts downed inside the 20-yard line and had a net average of 50.4 yards per punt. His game long punt of 68 yards tied for the 12th longest in school history and came one game after a career long 79-yarder the previous week against Duke. Hornsey now has two punts that rank among the top 10 longest punts in FBS football this season.
Among his 12 punts this season, Hornsey has had six (50 percent) downed inside the 20-yard line and kicked four punts 50 yards or more.
The Augusta Sports Council and the Ray Guy Award announced the creation of the weekly award last week to track and recognize players on the Ray Guy Award watch list. Hornsey is the initial recipient of the weekly honor.
