Tarik Black to transfer
Memphis junior post forward Tarik Black will sit out tonight's contest with UT-Martin in an effort to resolve some personal issues.
"This is an internal matter and I have asked Tarik not to play tonight," said Memphis head coach Josh Pastner. "But I won't let this thing linger. Tarik and I have a meeting scheduled for Friday and we will resolve this at that time."

Black's play on the court has been sluggish, particualrly on the boards, over the last couple of games and his body language suggests that he is distracted by something. This could be a problem, as Pastner has always maintained that no single player is bigger than the program.
When asked if Black was considering a transfer, Pastner declined to comment. More details as the situation develops.
