Tigers fall in Border War

The University Of Memphis Tiger baseball team took on its rival 70 miles from the northeast the Arkansas State Red Wolves for a weekday single game showdown at FedEx Park.
Memphis struck first when Bryce Beeler knocked Carter White in for a first inning score. Most of the game was an offensive struggle until the 7th inning. Ford Wilson reached 2nd base on a fly ball that was dropped by ASU's1st baseman Logan Uxa. After a sacrifice grounder helped Wilson advance to 3rd, it was Carter White's RBI single to centerfield that scored Wilson to put the Tigers up 2-0. However this would be the last time the Tigers crossed the plate.

Griffin advanced to 2nd base after a Bryce Beeler sacrifice bunt and later reached 3rd off a wild pitch. Griffin was left stranded on 3rd after Jake Little struck out swinging and Keaton Aldridge fouled out to 3rd base.
