Wilson talked about why he chose Memphis, "It was manly the people and coaches. The vibes they put off at my first camp that summer was amazing and that energy never changed. I would say that and the way they are academically motivated and the devotion to the players and there future! Something I wanted to be apart of."

Wilson chose Memphis over UCF, UAB, South Alabama, and Southern Miss.

Coach Ball was his main recruiter and Wilson spoke highly of him.

"He’s a great guy, he’s funny and full of energy! I can see the love for the players and game in all the coaches eyes, especially his."

The type of player Memphis is getting is one that doesn't really care about personal stats. He's more interested in helping the team get the "W" instead of worrying about his numbers.

This offseason Wilson said he's going to work on his strength and speed as well as spending lots of time in the film room. He wants to be able to do whatever he can to help Memphis as soon as he gets on Campus.
