Tiger junior Jeremy Hunt underwent surgery
Tuesday morning to repair a bone fracture in his left wrist, and the

procedure was a success. Team physicians will x-ray his
wrist again in
three weeks to monitor the progress, but Hunt is
expected to miss 4-to-6
weeks of action.
The 6-foot-4 guard has missed the Tigers' last
two games versus
Pittsburgh Dec. 7 and Ole Miss Dec. 11. Hunt also
missed the Nov. 26
game against Maryland as a result of a chest bruise
that he suffered in
the Nov. 23 Arkansas State contest.
Prior to the wrist injury, Hunt had played in six
games and
averaged 5.3 points and 3.7 rebounds. He also had 22
assists to only six
turnovers for a 3.7 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Hunt injured his left wrist while taking a charge
with nearly six
minutes left in the first half in Memphis' win at
Purdue Dec. 3. Hunt
entered the 2004-05 season having come off rehab
following an ACL injury
in late February of the 2003-04 campaign.
Fellow junior Clyde Wade will undergo surgery to
repair his torn
right ACL Thursday, Dec. 16. Following surgery, the
6-foot guard will
undergo 6-to-8 months of rehabilitation. The Memphis,
Tenn., native had
played in three games prior to the injury and averaged
1.0 points and
0.3 boards.
Wade tore his ACL in a Nov. 29 practice at the
Finch Center.
The Tigers (5-4) return to action Saturday, Dec.
18 when they host
Austin Peay (1-5) at FedExForum. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
(CT).
