Senior place kicker Jake Elliott has accepted an invitational to participate in the Reese’s Senior Bowl it was announced by bowl organizers, Monday. The annual game will be played on Saturday, Jan. 28th at 1:30 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.
The Senior Bowl dates back to 1950 and 25 Tigers have participated in the event. Elliott will be the first Tiger since the 2006 season to accept an opportunity to participate in the Senior Bowl. The last time Memphis was represented in the bowl was in 2006, when DeAngelo Williams and fellow Tiger place kicker Stephen Gostkowski participated in the game.
The two teams in the annual game, the North and South, will each be coached by NFL coaches.
