Jared Nedd commits to Memphis

The Memphis Tigers pick up commitment number 8 when Carrollton (GA) linebacker Jared Nedd make his commitment known via social media.

Memphis offered Nedd in February and he was very excited about the offer.

“I think they are a really good program and that they are very family oriented and definitely a great football team,” Nedd told TigerSportsReport.

"I committed because it felt like home to me and they treat me like family."

Coach Pete Lembo was his main recruiter and the two hit it off from the start.

"I think he is a great coach. He's very honest and he is the type of coach to help make you a better person on and off the field."

He got a chance to do a virtual tour of Memphis and liked what he saw.

"I think Memphis has great facilities and my favorite part was seeing the amazing locker room, it was just very eye catching."

Playing time was also a huge factor for his decision to commit to Memphis.

With his commitment over, he can now focus on helping his team win a state championship. Carrollton lost in the state quarterfinals last year and there some unfinished business heading into the 2020 season.
