Bakara Okojie Commits to the Tigers

Bakara Okojie is a former George Mason standout, who recently made the big decision of transferring and committing to Memphis Basketball. Okojie will be in an essential piece to Memphis, looking to carry last seasons momentum into the next one. He has already proven himself as a battle tested guard on the college level, and brings tangles and intangibles to the program.

At George Mason, a Okojie average 8.1 points per game, to go along with 2.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. At 6’3”, Okojie is a quick guard that manages to play at a smooth pace. He does a great job of analyzing the defense, and then taking what they give him. Also displays crafty playmaking and finishing ability around the rim.

It will be interesting to see how the 24-25 team continues to come together, after going 22-10 last season. Although this squad will have a new look, it already has the parts with the potential of high level cohesive play on both ends of the floor. Stay tuned to find out which other prospects Coach Penny Hardaway brings in.
