Memphis Baseball got some great news today when Georgia freshman Glen Green III announced via Twitter he was committing to Memphis.
Green, 6-foot-1 216 lbs., is a great pick up for Memphis. PerfectGame.com graded his a 9.5 out of 10 coming out of high school before he committed to Georgia. He's a 2-way player that can give you time at third base or pitcher.
Here's what D1Baseball said about Green back in January.
"Glenn Green III came in as a two-way talent, but the Bulldogs have decided to focus on developing him as a pitcher, and he looked very good in his final four outings of the fall, working in the low 90s with good tempo and control."
Back in high school Green posted a 10-0 record, 0.81 ERA with 115 strikeouts and 22 walks in 53.2 innings pitched as a senior. He also batted .408 with 10 doubles, 30 RBI and 16 stolen bases his senior season.
