Memphis Tigers football head coach Mike Norvell was named as a semifinalist for the 2019 George Munger Collegiate Coach of the Year Award.

Norvell has led Memphis to a 9-1 record and has the Tigers ranked #18 in the college football playoff poll as the top group of 5 school. They control their own destiny for a New Year's Six Bowl.
