The Memphis Tigers picked up commitment number nine when Nashville (TN) John Overton Safety Tyson Edwards made his decision known via social media.

Edwards, 6-foot-2 175 lbs., took his official visit to Memphis this past weekend. Memphis received three other commitments this past weekend for a total of four. They also received four from the previous week's official visits. Coach Silverfield and staff are working it this recruiting class getting 8 commitments in the past two weeks.

Edwards chose Memphis over Arkansas, Indiana, and Coastal Carolina.
