The Memphis Tigers are on a roll in the 2022 recruiting class. Just hours after Eric Gaston committed, the Tigers pick up a commitment from Milan (TN) Linebacker Antwain Barham Jr.

Why Memphis?

"I chose Memphis because they have all the tools and resources for me to be the best version of myself on the field and they’ll have me set and prepared for life after football. And it’s an hour and 20 minutes down the road," Barham Jr. told TigerSportsReport.

He took an official visit to Memphis earlier in the month and that played a big part of his decision.

"It played a big part. The coaching staff and players really took care of me and my family and made us really feel like home."

His favorite part of the Memphis visit?

"How family oriented the coaching staff and the players are. They treated me like I had already been there and was on the team myself. It’s a brotherhood that I want to be apart of."

Barham Jr. said his stats last year were 86 tackles, 2 fumble recoveries, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 interception.
