First Half:

Ohio began the game in a zone that PJ Haggerty's four quick threes quickly brought to an end.

Haggerty broke his streak of slow first halves as he totaled a season-high 17 first-half points.

Memphis' hot start from three extended beyond Haggerty as Nicholas Jourdain hit two in the early goings of the contest as Memphis ended the first-period shooting 8/12 from deep

Although Memphis totaled a season-high 43 first-half points, Ohio's 8 first-half threes kept it a single-digit game, 43-38, and a Memphis lead.

Although Memphis has a history of struggling to guard the three, the Tigers (although maybe a bit late) adjusted as they began to run the Bobcats off the three-point line.

Offensively, everything clicked for Memphis despite an erratic start, including 11 first-half turnovers.

Defensively, Memphis adjusted well after a tough start of allowing 7 offensive rebounds and far too many open threes.

Second Half:

In the early parts of the second period, the Tigers cleaned up their turnover issues and continued to hit shots at a high level, stretching the lead to 55-40.

But Ohio would not go away.

The Bobcats battled back and retained an 8-12 point deficit for most of the second half.

Tyrese Hunter's four second-half three-pointers and 16 points both led the Tigers. Hunter's run extended the Tiger's most significant lead to 27 points.

Offensively, Memphis impressed in ball control in the second half, totaling only 3 turnovers.

Standouts:

PJ Haggerty: 23 points, 7 rebounds, 7/10 FG

Tyrese Hunter: 21 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 7/13 FG

Nicholas Jourdain: 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5/6 FG
