The University of Memphis announced it has hired Larry Smith to replace David Glidden as wide receiver coach.
Smith joins Memphis after spending the past 7 years at UAB.
“We are very excited to add Larry to our staff. He’s a dynamic coach and will be a tremendous asset to our wide receivers and our entire program,” Silverfield said in the press release.
Smith played quarterback at Vanderbilt from 2007-11 and started 27 games in his career. He spent three years coaching at Jacksonville State before joining UAB in 2016.
